Glasshouse Mountains EcoLodge Review

This tucked away property is located in Queensland, Australia - about 2 hours north of Brisbane. Having the distinct pleasure of staying there twice now, I wanted to dedicate a blog post to highlight the reasons why you should consider making a booking.

The Glasshouse Mountains Ecolodge is located along Steve Irwin Way, approximately 20 minutes from the Steve Irwin Australia Zoo. The property boasts several structures that were moved to its current location, including a church and old Queensland Rail passenger cars. This property is unique in many aspects, and is perfect for those who want to feel connected to nature through outdoor activities.

Nearby Activities

You could spend a week at this property and still find things to do in the surrounding areas. Given the title of the property, there are Mountains nearby - but not just any mountains.

The Glasshouse Mountain range offers walking paths, lookouts, and hikes that are a very short distance from the property. Get out into the Bush easy, with 3 walks to pick from, directly from the property.

Don't want to stray too far? That's okay - take a stroll through the Orchard Walk - their 'Garden of Eaten'. Take a look at the reference book, and see if you can find the plants and fruits that grow throughout. With over 60 tropical and exotic fruits - you are bound to find something new you have never seen before.

The Steven Irwin Australia Zoo is only a 10 minute drive away! I cover this activity in another blog, you can check it out here.
